Nesmith House Rules For residents
Smoking: Absolutely no smoking is allowed inside the home. Smoking is allowed outside only in designated smoking areas. No flicking your butts on ground. Place them in smoke cans to get rid of them. It’s your responsibility to keep these areas clean.
Prohibition of pornography: No resident or visitor shall have written or video material on or in, or around Nesmith Home that constitutes pornography of any kind.
Weapons: Residents cannot possess a weapons or ammunition in the home
Chores: it is each resident’s responsibility to clean up after themselves while making and preparing food and after cleaning up any additional pots and pans used in the kitchen.
Maintenance and repairs: The residents are responsible for any physical damage that is done to home. This is from the resident or any visitors that may be visiting resident. Changes are not allowed to be made to the home.
Behavior: Nasty, disruptive, rude or noisy behavior, will not be tolerated at Nesmith Home. Residents are required to be civil with each other, Guests, Nesmith Staff and Surounding Neighbors. When you have a dispute with anyone solve it in a civil manner.
On call phone policy: Call office number during regular office hours which are Monday – Friday from 9am- 5pm except for holiday. In case of emergency you may call and leave a message include your name and phone number
Sharing and Loaning: It is frowned upon for residents to sharing, borrow food, drinks, cigarettes, clothes and money from other residents as it potentially leads to futher issues down the road.
Fire Precautions: Residents are required to participate in scheduled fire drills. To understand how to exit the property in case of a fire. Residents must notify management of any malfunctioning appliance or other fire hazards (front door is an emergency exit only). Tenants will use side door as main entrance to the home. In case of fire any exit is acceptable.
Tenants are not permitted to enter or exit using windows. Side door is considered the main entrance to home.
Pets are not permitted: Due to this being a group home and the possibilities of a tenant having allergies pets are not permitted.
Nesmith residents are responsible to: · Pick up clothes · Personal care: brush hair, shower and brush teeth · Keep bedroom and closet clean and neat DAILY (use laundry baskets for all dirty clothes) · Keep bathroom tidy · General housekeeping duties, as designated
Bathroom Courtesy: Each resident, if necessary is assigned a shower schedule. If needed, residents with school/work have priority. This will be to help stay on task and adhere to schedules. The shower schedule is designed to work with daily commitments and will be posted, if necessary. The residents should replace toilet paper when necessary and are to rinse out the tub/shower and sink after each use. Personal items are to be kept in bedrooms to reduce the chances of theft.
Food is to be eaten in kitchen or common designated areas in the house. No food is to be eaten in bedroom. You may store non-perishable groceries in your room like cans, bagged items but nothing that can spoil.
You should report any plumbing concerns or problems to KP Homesolutions staff. This information should be logged so that repairs can be scheduled by the management.
Bedrooms: There will be checks on bedrooms to make sure bedrooms are kept neat and tidy. Room checks or room searches may be done at ANYTIME staff deems it necessary. Residents must wash the bed sheets once a week. See the laundry schedule for when this occurs.
Bulletin boards are for pictures and posters. Nothing is to be put directly on the walls. Residents may not enter bedrooms beside their own assigned room, even when invited. To maintain a standard of health sanitation, personal shelf space is provided, in the pantry, for the resident’s personal food and items.
ONLY WATER is permitted in the bedrooms
Overnight guest are not permitted due to shared living no one wants to wake up to a stranger in the house that does not live there.
Laundry: A laundry schedule for the week will be assigned by the KP Homesolutions. Exceptions to the schedule can be made, when necessary, with permission. All laundry should be completed by 10:00pm and items should be removed from the machines promptly. Each resident is responsible for their own clothes, sheets, towels and bedding they use. They are to fold and put away any HOUSE LAUNDRY they wash/dry. .
The residents should not borrow or lend anything. If items are loaned, KP Homesolutions is not responsible for any loss or damage to these items.
Personal vehicles are allowed but only by resident’s who have a valid driver’s license, current registration and insurance. Proof of which shall be given to KP Homesolutions staff prior to any resident driving and/or parking a vehicle at Nesmith.
Swearing and vulgar language will not be tolerated at the home.
TV in common area is not to be turned on until 9am and must be turned off at 10:00pm on weekdays. 10am on Saturday and Sunday. Please use discretion while choosing TV programs. The TV programs in shared area need to be in good taste for the viewing pleasure of all residents, and in accordance with the goals and objectives
Smoking: Smoking is not prohibited but is highly discouraged, as it is extremely harmful to your health. Therefore, all smoking may only be done outside in the designated smoking area. Cigarette butts are to be placed in a can for this purpose. No throwing butts on ground no littering of any kind this would be considered a violation of your lease.
Drugs and Alcohol: Drug and alcohol use is prohibited while in residence or at the home
All personal belongings must go with residents upon departure. Any belongings that are left behind without making special arrangements will be considered not wanted by the resident.
Violating house rules/guidelines, physical violence of any type will not be tolerated. Violation of this rule could result in assault charges being filed. We will not tolerate disrespectful treatment or threats. If anyone is caught stealing, it could be grounds for breaking lease.
Shared spaces/common areas are treated with courtesy, respect, cleanliness, and sharing. Please do not leave personal items in these areas after you are finished using them. Please keep them neat and clean at all times. Residents are expected to be good neighbors, not just “non-disturbing” neighbors. A good neighbor is respectful of the facility and personal property, is mindful of noise and loud activity, and is kind and considerate when talking to other residents.
No pets due to shared living environment $475.00 per bed in shared room monthly or $600.00 for a private single room
